Last weekend Khuram & I went to go test drive the Acura. I absolutely loved it. I am really excited about getting a different car. We still are not sure if we will get a new car or a used car. Ofcourse I am hoping for the new one. Growing up I really never had a car of my own. We always shared cars in the family. But they weren't the most glamorous cars either: first it was the station wagon, then the mini van, and finally the mystique. The mystique wasn't the best driving car for Michigan weather. There were several occasions I remember trying to hit the breaks, and i kept sliding or losing control of the car. Thank god i never got into an accident b/c of the bad weather.
But back to buying a car now. Right now we have a 2 door honda accord that is a manual. The problem is that I can't drive it. I took lessons to try to learn, but i never really got the hang of it. Problem is that we live in the city and everything is on a ramp, so i get way to nervous driving up hill. Only a few girls I know can drive a manual, so why not me? I tried, but i am really slow on changing gears. Part of me feels like a failure. If i could have just learned it would have saved me over a year of being frustrated.
We also checked out St. Lawrence Market. I have gone a few times, but everytime I have gone alone so it was really nice when Khuram suggested that we go. I just love the atmosphere of this place. We started of on the main floor by the pastries. Just the smell of fresh bread and muffins just reminds me of home. We tried some honeys around the world, made our way through homemade salsa areas, and up to the fresh seafood area. My husband was craving fish and chips so we stopped for a bit to eat. And the best score was the fresh pasta place. Has anyone else tried the 3 color sauce they've been doing?? It is fantastic. It's mainly tomato sauce with a garlic alfredo and pesto sauce nicely layered on top. May not sound all that great, but trust me it is fantastic.
I just wish the rest of the week stays this busy
